Vehicle Valuation Overview

 

Vehicle valuation information is typically calculated based on several data points that are listed below, where VIN and Trim level are the minimum.  Values are updated weekly.

• VIN (Make, Model, Year)
• Trim or Trim Level:  this the level of options on the vehicle, for batch processing
• Location of the vehicle
• Condition of the vehicle
• Mileage

Several levels of values are returned.  Some examples:

• Trade-In:  Value if consumer is trading in the vehicle at a dealership and purchasing a new or used vehicle
• Retail:  Dealer price to consumer
• Auction:  Dealer to dealer pricing
• Private Sale:  Consumer to consumer pricing
