What do the Wichita State Shockers have to do with your Targeted Mailing List???
Well last Month as you may remember my Blog titled “March Madness in the Targeted Marketing arena!” spoke about how sports can teach all of us, especially those of us in marketing: be quick, but not in a hurry; never quit on yourself; believe in yourself; and don’t be afraid of losing. Silly platitudes? Today, I know they’re not. And the Wichita State “Shockers” I am sure would agree!! I have a love for the Wichita State “Shockers” because my son’s Great Grandfather used to be a sports announcer for them, and he is amazing. You can Google Gus Grebe, and check out just how Amazing his life has been. So glad that he wasn’t on the plane that crashed with the “Shockers” football team back in the 70’s, because knowing this man is indeed a blessing in all the lives of those who know him and love him. He is a class Act, and recently, just this past Saturday, on his 94th Birthday, they interviewed him, and as the reports mentioned he is 94 Years Young!!
He lives his life like I spoke about last month, be quick but not in a hurry, never quit on yourself, believe in yourself; don’t be afraid of losing, and do you best.
